Production...Having a Flexible Plan
So, we had to reschedule things once again. Originally, I had understood that we were going to use the court room to film the remainder of the scenes we had left. We were set to do this second period today, since all of us have core classes fourth period, and second and fourth period were the only times we could use the room. However, we ran into some trouble. Franchesca had a chemistry test to study for during second period, which is the junior study hall time. Luckily, we had a flexible plan and we rescheduled our meet to Wednesday. Having an adaptable plan is crucial because it allows us to be flexible during unexpected circumstances, such as moments like these. Film production is usually a collaborative process and changes are bound to occur. In my group, we have endured these changes several times, but we adapt. For right now, there is also the pending problem of Joey, who is supposed to play Jospeh. He might not be one hundred percent available to play the part of Joseph on Wednesday, since he has class during second period. So, in case he cannot make it, we are currently looking for a back up actor. This is another reason why is it important for us to have a flexible plan. While there are not any conflicts with me, there could be conflicts with anyone in our group, or any of the actors, or even the location. Scheduling conflicts can occur with anything, and figuring our alternative solutions is all apart of the film process. These are details that I am still learning. I realize now that the problems our group is facing is no different than the problems film makers deal with on the daily. Luckily, everything is set in place, right now it is all about everyone being available at the same time. Me, Andres, and Lauren all have the same media class second period, so none of us have had conflicts with scheduling. That is all for now, hopefully by next blog we will have our scenes recorded!
