Almost at the Finish Line!

 


Hi again! Although it has not been a while since i’ve last updated everyone, we have made a lot of progress over the last 24 hours. Above, you can see a picture of the front page of our website! As you can see, I chose a red background since it would match the color theme of our short film. I just big text in order to emphasize the message. I also chose the white font to contrast the red background. Since wix didn’t allow me to use “maneater” as the website name, I had to think of alternatives. So, I came up with maneateronline since it allowed this name. Additionally, i created a separate tab that tells viewers about the cast and the crew. I had to insert pictures of all of us, and match the description accordingly. I also chose to add a picture of Noah, even though he isn’t in our group. However I found it fitting since he is the male lead character. I still need to add some more features to the website, including awards. I also have to double check that the links to our social media works. Which reminds me, our socials are also up and running! Savannah has added several photos to our instagram page advertising our film. We even have a couple of followers! Brianna also is still working on the editing process. She did run into a problem with the audio of one scene, but we plan on addressing it tomorrow. Tomorrow we all have our SAT, but we should be free the whole day after. So, we will take this time to regroup. Wish us luck!

  Hi Blog! Since today was an A day, I met up with my group during first period and we talked about filming again. Unfortunately, Lauren was absent so she didn't get to take part in the conversation. However, we definitely made sure to fill her in after. Savannah showed us all the props she ordered, and we went over ideas on how to incorporate the props in filming. We are also trying to figure out a day to film next week. We are almost sure it will be Thursday, but we have a small conflict. Since our main lead character, my boyfriend, is part of the project, his schedule is a bit conflicting. He had communicated to me that he has no school on Wednesday, and that he would prefer us to start filming then. I wanted to keep Wednesday open in case I had dance practice scheduled for this day. Production...in progress!

 Coming from spring break, I am very excited to see the progress we have made in this production. After the lockdown that occurred in school that I mentioned in my previous blog, our timelines had be edited and thus we reschedule filming. We all agreed that  we were going to begin filming the weekend of spring break. Unfortunately, there were some conflicts. The plan was to meet at Andres' house in Tamarac to film the scenes of our detective Santana getting ready to begin his day and discovering Ellie Duckwin's missing poster. However, with Lauren out of town, that was one less person that could help with filming. Also, I unfortunately had plans already scheduled in advance for that weekend so I could not make it either. I had dance practice from 10-2, then a performance during the evening. Title Research: The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo

For the next title research blog, we watched the opening sequence to the movie "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo". There was a total of 30 titles shown in the two minutes and thirty five seconds of the opening scene. Each title had the same silver font and moved slightly, swiftly horizontally before disappearing. The first title is the film production industries, which is Columbia Pictures and Metro Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures. Then, a "Scott Rudin and Yellow Bird Production". Then it moves on to the director, "A David Fincher Film". Afterwards, names of the main actors that are featured in the film are listed. The titles then move on to other production related features, like who the music is by, costume designer, sound designer, editors, etc. Finally, the sequence ends with, "Directed by: David Fincher".
