Introducing...Me!
My name is Isabel Reyes and I am so excited to begin filming this project. To introduce myself, I am half Ecuadorian and half Dominican, but I have lived in the United States all of my life. I am a sophomore at Fort Lauderdale High School. I’m in the Pre-Law Magnet and hope to become a lawyer in the future. At school, I am on the debate team and Spanish Honor Society. Outside of academics, I am a competitive salsa dancer. In fact, last week our team placed first place in our category in a world competition. I love dancing because it helps me relieve stress from all the rigorous classes I take at school. With all my AICE. classes and soon AP, dancing helps take my mind off of everything and have focus on something to personally challenge myself. Besides being a lawyer, I have an aspiration of being a professional salsa dancer. I have some experience in media studies and I think this will all help me on the upcoming project. In my first media project, I filmed a commercial advertising Dior lipstick. This process proved to be a bit difficult since I did not have much experience. I was still figuring things out and it took a lot of trial and error before we finally got the result we desired. For my second project, I filmed a music video to “Material Girl” by Madonna. The second time around was definitely much smoother. Because of this, I think this next project is also to prove easier since I now know my way around a camera. I am so excited to begin this project, filming two minutes of a film’s opening sequence. I think this will be my most challenging project yet. Lucky for me, I love challenging myself
