Group blog: we're getting the band back together!

For this next project, we decided to keep our same group from the commercial, with the exception of one additional member. At the beginning of our commercial journey, we anticipated having Kyra in our group along with Hailey and Alessandra. However, since she was also occupied with the intensity of mock trial, the team decided on an alternative that was less stressful on her behalf. This time around, however, I am glad that she is going to collaborate with us on this project. Our original group worked very well together on the commercial; our team dynamic was very efficient and productive. Since I am accustomed to working independently on academic matters, there are times when I find it challenging to collaborate with others on projects. I prefer to remain in responsibility and don't particularly like depending on other people. On the other hand, I've known the members of my group for a long. Knowing their work ethic, I feel confident in their ability to be effective. I have faith in the interactional connections which may form within my group, and I believe that by working together, we can overcome any challenge. I made the choice to work with individuals that I trust to be accountable and who won't fail me as a team or as an individual. Most of us are in related subjects, and we have already helped one another academically outside of this class. Since we have all studied together or assisted one another in some capacity, it is clear to me that we all value education highly. Apart from ethical considerations, I choose to employ the members of my organization for practical reasons. I attend the same courses as my group and interact with them frequently, if not daily, at school. Therefore, having previously collaborated with them, I am confident in our ability to successfully work together on this issue. Consequently, frequent contact might reduce communication problems. I am aware that my friends are effective communicators, which helps me avoid misunderstandings. We are all easy to contact on demand, and I have never experienced a communication breakdown, but I trust them and myself to seek clarification when necessary. It would be ideal for us to meet for this assignment outside of school hours because I don't live far from the other members of my group. We also have a strong group dynamic because we each have a variety of abilities. We ultimately decided on the song Material Girl by Madonna. We came to a fairly easy agreement as we all knew the song and thought that it had a good meaning behind the lyrics.
